Turkish Librarianship is the official quarterly publication of the Turkish Librarians Association. The journal accepts original, peer-reviewed scholarly articles, opinions, reader letters, introductory articles, and translations in Turkish or English that examine problems and offer solutions related to information and document management. There is no processing fee for articles submitted for publication.

The journal's content is indexed in the "Turkish Articles Bibliography", "Emerging Sources Citation Index" (Clarivate Analytics/ESCI), "Library and Information Science Abstracts" (LISA), "Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts" (LISTA), and "TÜBİTAK/ULAKBİM TR Dizin Social and Human Sciences Database". Turkish Librarianship is an open-access journal available online and is listed in the "Directory of Open Access Journals" (DOAJ).

Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the Editorial Board and the Manuscript Evaluation Board. Manuscripts accepted after the editorial process and designated for the scientific section undergo a double-blind scientific evaluation. For manuscripts designated for other sections, the Editorial Board's evaluation is valid. The author(s) are responsible for the opinions and views expressed in the manuscripts. The views expressed in the manuscripts cannot be considered as representing the views of the Turkish Librarianship journal.

Dear readers,
in the editorial of the first issue of 2019, we announced our decision to discontinue the print edition of the Turkish Librarianship journal and make it available only online.

In line with these developments, we have also made changes to the platform on which our journal is published. Our journal, which has been available at tk.org.tr until now, will now be published on the DergiPark platform. However, tk.org.tr will continue to be used for archival purposes and backup.
