Öz

The most fundamental aspect that makes libraries valuable in the history of humanity is the value of the collection they possess and the skills to use this collection. When we look at historical libraries, it is seen that they stand out with these skills. In Turkey, Izmir National Library, which has witnessed this aspect before the Republic and is one of the most important actors of our national library climate today, serves a wide audience with the originality of its collection. This study includes a review of the book “Izmir National Library Map and City Plans Catalog”, which is the product of a project completed in collaboration with Izmir National Library and Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University.
